Most customers want to know if their website will be supported after it’s been built and launched live. The answer is yes – we offer several types of support to help you manage your website moving forward.
One of the benefits of having Marketeam build your website is that you’ll be in total control of how to maintain and update your website. Having said that, if you have neither the time nor inclination to manage your website’s updates and content we have several types of support available.
Every now and then the CMS provider (Joomla, Wordpress, etc) will bring out an updated version of their software. In most cases you simply need to log into the back-end or administrator area of your website and click the ‘Update’ button.
Sometimes this could be once a month – other times your software will need updating several times per month, but if you don’t update your website things can start to break eg. components won’t work, modules won’t display and it also leaves your site more vulnerable to hacking attempts.
We’ll show you how to update your site during your training session, or alternatively we can do this for a small monthly fee.
Note: Simple software updates are easy to manage on your own – in the case of a major software update sometimes it’s necessary to switch over to the latest CMS version… don’t worry, we can provide you with advice on this.
Website changes and alterations
We provide full training on how to use your website content management system so you’re able to log in and make changes or add pages to your website. We cover a lot of items in our training session – you’ll learn how to create links, change images, edit contact details etc.
If you don’t have the time or resources to update your own website, we offer a range of Support Packages where you purchase a number of hours up-front and we make changes as you request them. All of our times are tracked and we’ll let you know when your support pack is close to running out.
By purchasing a Support Package you’ll have peace of mind knowing that Marketeam will provide you with support if you or your staff encounter any issues maintaining your website or require content updates.
A support package allows for us to:-
- update your content management software
- add new pages to your website
- update content on your website including images
- edit contact details on your website
- add social media icons/feeds to your website
- provide telephone or email support about how to use Joomla
It does not cover website design, IT support or search engine optimisation (SEO). Email and website hosting queries should be directed to your hosting company.
Alternatively you can provide us with a list of changes you’d like completed and we’ll provide you with a quote and a timeframe to have them done – simple!
